The Citroën Dyane is an economy car/ supermini produced by the French automaker Citroën as a modern, more elegant alternative to the 2CV – the Acadiane is the panel van version. An extremely late model our example boasts a 602cc/ 32hp engine that gives a top speed in excess of 70mph and the legendary 2CV suspension provides a unique driving experience
We simply could not resist the Gaelic charms of this remarkable little car. Originally exported to Spain this stunning van comes with original Spanish registration card and annual inspection certificate from 1996 until 2012 when she was imported into the UK.
On arrival in the UK the car was registered and received a high quality respray in original Citroen Sahara (the existing paint was sun faded). The interior needed no attention and was simply cleaned and a period 1980 vinyl floor covering fitted to protect the floor. The rear seat is easily removed to create a van or camper.
Today this remarkable classic has covered just 23, 000km and is the best you could wish to find. In discussion with a customer we agreed the car is arguably the thinking man’s Morris 1000 Traveller….. ticks all the same boxes but with French style….
