The XK8 range offers impressive performance and style for the money. That won’t be the case for ever, because this capable and elegant Jaguar is increasingly appreciated in the classic market. On its launch, the car was rapturously received by the press. The engine and gearbox were top of the class and the folding soft-top, developed by Karmann complete with a heated glass screen was widely praised, even though it relied on a clip-on leather hood cover to look tidy when lowered. The XK8 was designed to carry on the heritage of the iconic Jaguar XKE. It is the most sought after color combination of British racing green and tan. The optional 18 inch alloy wheels give it an aggressive stance, waiting to be driven. This XK8 convertible is one of the cleanest example we have seen. It has a near blemish free paint and body. The dash is not cracked or delaminating and the seats show very little wear. Some recent service items include new shock absorbers, tires, headlamps, and cooling system.
