Beautifully presented in metallic Gunmetal Grey with contrasting Bordeaux trim, this UK RHD 1955 XK140 Drophead Coupe – arguably the most sought-after model in the XK range – is amongst the best currently on offer in the UK. Installed with period Sports bucket seats, electric power steering, electronic ignition and 5-speed gearbox, this is a very quick, very usable and immaculate example.
Fully restored in 2004 by marque specialists, Twyford Moors, including an engine by Sigma and maintained since 2017 by us at WinSpeed of Guildford during which time we installed a 5-speed gearbox and fully rebuilt the cylinder head to our fast road specification. The result is evident: a very competent, long-distance, immaculate and fast XK140!
With a substantial history file containing some early correspondence, anecdotes, period images, and its 1962 Continuation buff Log Book and Jaguar Heritage Certificate, this all serves to reinforce its character.
