THE APPEAL
Marketed by Suzuki as “Six-speed dynamite!”, this lightweight two-stroke was the first production bike to offer a six-speed gearbox, and in December 1966 and 1967, became the first Oriental motorcycle to be voted machine of the year by ‘Motor Cycle News’.
Following its launch in 1965, the T20 was Instrumental in the development of performance 250’s and was capable of hitting almost 100 mph. Ahead of the curve, a mouth-watering specification list also assured its popularity as the Super Six in Europe or X6 Hustler elsewhere.
With a low competition-style stance, this highly original U.K. specification Suzuki looks absolutely amazing in every detail and would make a great addition to any collection.
Restored in recent years, the radiant blue paintwork and shining chrome really stands out, and looking at MOT records, we can see that it has only been ridden some 1,960 miles since 2006.

There is no accompanying service history or evidence of a rebuild, but the vendor is happy to report that this T20 has good compression, sounds mechanically spot on, and “runs and rides really well”.

This highly collectable 1960’s Suzuki paved the way for many other lightweight 250’s with its perfectly balanced design, great specification and impressive performance.
Having been comprehensively restored, this fine example looks fantastic and retains plenty of detailed originality. To quote Suzuki once more - “Welcome to the future - 1960’s style”.
