The Appeal
Equipped with a 5-speed manual gearbox and Lancia’s narrow V4 engine delivering 89 horsepower to the front wheels, the Lancia Fulvia Coupé 1.3S proved itself to be a capable sports car and surviving examples are revered to this day for their fizzy performance and nimble handling.
This 1971 Fulvia was imported to the UK from Italy in 2007 and has been subject to a rolling restoration ever since. Presented in very good condition inside and out, this would be a great car to continue using and improving over time.

The Interior
- Cream vinyl seats present well with a few marks but little wear
- A little sun damage is evident to the vinyl in places
- The dashboard top and veneer fascia was replaced in 2021
- Period-style rubber mats in good overall condition
- Nardi steering wheel - (the original is supplied also)
- There is very little wear evident on any of the controls
- The vendor reports that everything works exactly as it should, including all gauges and switchgear
The Exterior
- Resprayed some years ago in maroon which is in very good shape overall
- Under present ownership, a few areas of corrosion have been rectified and localised areas have received further paintwork
- The door handles and mirrors have been replaced with aftermarket items from Omicron
- Floor and body repairs completed in 2010 have been tidied up in 2021
- Cromadora alloy wheels really suit the car and are in very good condition following refurbishment in 2011
- Plenty of tread remains on the tyres
- New Cibie headlamps fitted in 2013
- New windscreen fitted in 2021
- Smart underneath, following remedial work over the years
The Mechanics
- 1.3-litre V4 engine subject to major work in 2012
- 5-speed manual gearbox replaced in 2012 along with the clutch
- Steering box rebuilt in 2011
- New brake hoses fitted and callipers overhauled in 2012
- Radiator refurbished in 2012
- Koni shock absorbers fitted all round in 2018
- New water pump in 2019
- The exhaust was replaced with a stainless steel item in 2020
- The vendor informs us that the car is a little smoky on start up and this has been diagnosed as worn valve guides
- The vendor is currently sourcing a re-engineered head that will be made available to the next owner
- The engine runs really well once up to temperature and the car is brilliant to drive
Summary
This is a lovely example of what is undoubtedly one of the prettiest small coupés ever made. Exceedingly presentable and in fine mechanical order, we love this little Lancia and are sure its next owner will cherish it too.
