The Appeal
The desire to go anywhere spawned the Land Rover in the UK and, on the other side of the world, the BJ40 Land Cruiser. It took a similar approach to its British rival, mixing serious 4x4 capability but with arguably higher levels of comfort.
The vendor acquired this 1979 2B 3L diesel-engined BJ40 some year ago in his home country. He imported it to the UK in 2021 and has used it very sparingly since. The DVLA records a colour change to the current metallic red in 2022.
We are told that it runs and drives well The seller advises a small issue with an injector, which he reports is an easy fix and he has helpfully provided the part. That done you get a very distinctive and eye-catching 4x4 alternative to some more common homegrown rivals.
