The Appeal

The History and Paperwork

• This Supra was first registered in March 1990
• It is a UK specification car supplied through the UK dealer network
• The car has been used and enjoyed by 7 previous owners
• The current owner acquired the car in November 2022
• At this point she became the 8th owner
• This equates to an average period of tenure of over 4 years per keeper
• Recent use has been light with the car having covered around 15,000 miles since 2006
• There is comprehensive paperwork included with the Supra
• Firstly, there is the current V5 in the name of the owner
• This is joined by numerous invoices for work undertaken
• These cover many key maintenance tasks from various ownership periods

The Interior

• The Supra’s cabin exudes an authentic 1990’s ambiance
• It is predominantly finished in complimentary hues of grey and black
• The overall condition appears very good and belies the car’s age
• The big, supportive front seats are finished in a ribbed grey velour
• The seats are heavily bolstered to optimise support and comfort
• The seats feature the large, signature integral headrests
• The front seats fold to allow access to the rear cabin
• The rear cabin consists of a pair of heavily sculpted seats
• These appear in an equally good condition and are finished in matching velour
• The rear seats fold individually to provide additional storage when needed
• The bulk of the dashboard is finished in grey vinyl
• The main instrument binnacle consists of speedometer and tachometer
• These are large and clearly marked in white on black
• A number of supplemental gauges are situated in the centre section
• A three spoke “Supra” marked steering wheel is fitted
• This features controls for the cruise control function
• The centre console contains a modern Pioneer head unit with Bluetooth
• The carpets, door cards and headlining all appear to be in a good, original condition

The Exterior

• The Supra is finished in “Bluisch Grey” (182) metallic paintwork
• The paintwork is believed to be original and seems to exude a deep shine
• Inevitably there are some areas of light corrosion and bubbling noted

• The main areas noted are the rear wheel arches and front under-screen valance
• Some areas of paintwork exhibit potential for further improvement
• These include the nearside front bumper and a few paint chips as pictured
• The Supra is a fine-looking car, however, with pop up headlights and rear spoiler
• This example sits on the original, refurbished 16-inch, cross spoked Toyota alloys.
• These appear to be in a good overall condition
• A matching set of quality Yokohama Advan Sport tyres are fitted
• These are in the correct 225/50 configuration
• Cabin glass and light lenses all appear to be in a good, original condition

The Mechanics

• This Supra is fitted with the well-respected 7M-GE engine
• This is a 2,954cc straight six unit with 4 valves per cylinder 
• This unit was originally rated at 200 bhp and 190 Ib-ft of torque
• Power is fed to the rear wheels via a five-speed Aisin W58 manual gearbox
• Judging by the paperwork archive, this example has been well maintained
• Recent work includes new disks, pads and rear brake callipers
• A new clutch slave cylinder and an air conditioning service
• A new fuel pump, front track rod ends, and air flow meter have been fitted
• New auxiliary belts are in evidence throughout
• The under-bonnet presentation appears sound overall
• There is evidence of a number of new parts including the auxiliary belts
• The underside of the car appears in good condition and appropriate to its age
