1990 Toyota Supra 3.0i (MKIII A70)

Highlights

  • A nice example of the perennially popular 3.0L Supra A70 in manual guise
  • A highly original car with plenty of key maintenance tasks undertaken
  • Boasting an impressively clean and “very ‘90’s” velour interior

The Appeal

The Toyota Supra first appeared in 1978 as a sports coupe based entirely on the Celica. It immediately proved popular for its combination of bullet-proof Celica underpinnings and more overtly sporting character. The MIII, or A70, version seen here was launched in 1986 and marked the complete separation of Celica and Supra models. Whilst the Celica became a front wheel drive model, the Supra retained its front engine, rear wheel drive layout.

This example comes to market in an honest and highly original condition. It offers its new owner the exciting prospect of being able to further improve the car whilst continuing to use and enjoy it. It is the more popular 5 speed manual version and serves up an authentic flavour of 1990’s Japanese sports coupe ownership and enjoyment.

Summary

Japanese sports cars of the 1980’s and 1990’s are proving very popular at the moment with decent, original examples become increasingly scarce. There is a propensity for modification and after-market tinkering with Japanese cars of this era so it is refreshing to find one in such apparently original order. Of the MKIII Supras, the manual version is generally preferred, too, making this car somewhat of a sweet-spot for those in the know.

Our example presents very well overall. Yes, there are some areas ripe for further improvement, but that prospect will appeal to many prospective owners. The fundamentals are all here. Great originality, a very tidy interior and a solid record of maintenance and upkeep. Supras of this ilk will only continue to become rarer as time passes so this is your opportunity to own a 3.0L, straight six, rear wheel drive Japanese sports car with bags of personality, charm and originality.

Ammontare dell'offerta Incremento
Da £0 a £9,999 £100.00
Da £10,000 a £49,999 £250.00
Da £50,000 a £99,999 £500.00
£100,000 + £1,000.00

Superamento immediato dell'offerta
