Highlights
- 4.6 V8 automatic

- Full-service history
- Much money recently spent
The Appeal
This is one of the last P38’s to roll off the production line and one of the rarer Vogue’s, which featured a high specification level and lots of extra wood inside the cabin, along with all the normal Range Rover refinements and luxuries.
It’s now a classic in its own right with good examples starting to fetch good money, following the upward trend of all Land Rovers, and still makes for a great usable classic with impeccable comfort and performance both on and off road.

The Interior

The luxurious and well-appointed cabin is very welcoming and in really good condition throughout, with only a small repair needed to the driver’s very comfortable and fully adjustable leather seat, which also has contrasting blue piping.
The headlining was recently renewed along with the sun visors and an aftermarket audio and SatNav system has been fitted neatly into the impressive wood fascia.
The wood inserts have a good high gloss and the carpets have been well preserved through having rubber floor mats.
The air-conditioning is blowing nice and cold having only recently being re-gassed and all the switchgear, buttons and instruments are all working correctly.
The Exterior
- Metallic Blue
- Refurbished alloy wheels with new tyres
- Side steps
The Range Rover presents very nicely, with its metallic blue paintwork contrasting well with the lighter ivory interior.
There are a few light scratches and stone chips to be found, an annoying small dent in the rear tailgate and a few more imperfections on the bonnet and a scratch on the nearside front wing but these are all minor scars picked up on the road and none would be difficult to address if required.
The external trim all looks good and free from any damage and the bumpers present well too.
The Mechanics
- Full engine rebuild less than 10,000 ago
- New discs, pads and callipers fitted
- Stainless steel exhaust system
- New suspension bushes and steering damper
- New air springs and shock absorbers
- Full service history
The previous owner, who acquired the car in 2017, spent in the region on £15k on the whole car to bring it right back to its best.
Brand new suspension was fitted, along with new bushes and all new brake discs and pads all round. The gearbox and drivetrain were inspected and fully serviced, replacing parts required and changing oils, gaskets and seals. The engine was fully rebuilt with new piston rings, camshaft followers, push rods, timing chain and sprockets and a new head gasket and head bolts.
There are plenty of other parts that have been renewed as detailed in the significant file of invoices that relate to all the work done in recent years.
Lifting the bonnet reveals a clean and well-maintained engine bay, which shows no signs of any oil or coolant leaks. The car is reported to run and drive extremely nicely as you would expect in a car that has had many thousands of pounds spent on it.
The Summary
A genuine and very collectable iconic Range Rover 4.6 Vogue in very nice condition, in a great colour combination and with a good history are all good reasons why this is a car to get bidding on.
