The Appeal
If the recent sight of Mini Coopers making a mockery of big Yank tanks around Goodwood’s historic circuit got you excited then this little 1969 gem is for you. It’s a fully restored MkII Cooper that has been classically finished in ivory white with black roof.
The work was completed in 2016 and MOT records indicate that it has covered less than 1,300 miles since. That likely explains the high state of preservation inside and out. It is a nicely detailed car with chrome bumper nudge bars and rear spotlight and it sits on a set of classic Minilites.
The car has been little used since an advisory-free MOT test in May 2023. The vendor has therefore prepared for sale with a fresh service, carburettor overhaul, fuel tank flush and fitted with a new battery and fuel pump. Any Cooper is a driver’s delight and this one looks tempting.
The vendor says:
“This 1969 Morris Cooper Mini MkII is an extremely well-presented, fully restored example
of one of Britain’s most iconic classics. Meticulously maintained and restored to a high standard, this MkII Cooper represents both an excellent collector’s piece and a driver’s delight. With its heritage status, outstanding condition, and road-ready reliability, it offers a superb opportunity to acquire a Classic Mini which will stand the test of time.
“It is a turn-key classic — restored, road-ready, and needs nothing other than a new owner to enjoy it. Whether as a collector’s showpiece or a weekend driver, it offers both nostalgic
charm and motoring fun in equal measure. With its historic registration and investment potential, this is a rare opportunity to own a superb example of Britain’s motoring icon.”
