Description
A massive deviation from the usual style of BRA, the BRA Q4 was designed to be a road legal all-terrain vehicle. Only two were produced. The Q4 was based around the mechanical components of two cars: the classic Mini and Rover Metro.
This has been a fun family adventure car used in the summer and dry winter days throughout the years we have owned it. Good condition. Tyres replaced with little wear. Compass decals on roof and front of vehicle. Good condition. Cobra seats with removable padding for driver to adjust seating position. Acewell ATV computer. No of former keepers are 5. MOT until June 2023. Taxation class is private/ light goods. V5 registered body type agric. machine. The space frame is constructed from MIG structural stell and incorporates MIG zin-tec floors, rear bulkhead and front lower bulkhead and steel plate front upper bulkhead. Body panels are zin-tec.
At the front the steering, suspension, hubs and brakes are all Mini components although the standard Mini rubber suspension units have been replaced with adjustable coil-over dampers. BRA manufactured billet wheel spacers are used to increase track and to allow the oversize wheels to clear the body side panels.
At the rear of the Q4 there is a Rover Metro front sub-frame complete with engine/ gearbox, hydrogas suspension units (modified to give independent suspension), suspension and hubs. Rover MGF brake calipers are fitted to the modified Metro hub carriers and incorporate a mechanical hand brake. BRA manufactured billet wheel adapters are used to increase the rear track and convert the Metro wheel stud pattern to match the front Mini pattern.
Possible engine variations include the 1. 1KB, 1. 4 K16 and 1. 4 K16 turbo. The exhaust system is a BRA manufactured stainless steel system with specialist silencer.
