Mercedes-Benz E220 W124 coupe in great condition.
For sale is my lovely E220 coupe. I bought this 1 year ago for two reasons: 1) I wanted a W124 coupe 2) I wanted a restoration project. The blue paint work and tan leather is a great looking combination. The 2199cc 4 cylinder engine is smooth and punchy with a delightful gear change from the auto box.
Exterior - I have had all the bottom half of the car completely restored (due to colour fade and cracks). The paintwork for the rest of the car is original, so expect some marks here and there, I wanted to keep it as authentic as possible. The original wheels have all been fully refurbished and there are 4 new matching tyres.
Interior - the interior is delightful. The seats are original. I have had the 2 front seats and centre armrest restored (due to rips in the leather when I purchased it). The back seats are excellent. The stereo did not work, so it has been replaced with another original authentic MB stereo with electric aerial. I have kept the rest of the interior completely original. A mild interior detailing job has been carried out, including carpets washed and interior polished.
Summary - This W124 is a solid classic and in coupe format is a stunning looking car. In my possession it has wanted for nothing that I have not wanted to do to it. I own 8 cars (5 Mercedes-Benz, 3 Jaguar Land-Rover) and am reducing my collection. History - the car has done 140, 000 miles with 7 previous owners. There is a fully stamped up service book with 15 stamps in total, which includes the pre-delivery inspection on 16. 11. 93 from Rybrook Cars Ltd. Mercedes-Benz, Oxford. The pre-inspection docket slip is also with the history. There is loads of paper work and previous MOT's and also the original owners manual. The V5 is present in my name and there are 2 original keys. The last service was carried out by Autoclass, Milton Keynes (MB specialist) on 15. 06. 22 with a mileage of 139, 264. It was a full comprehensive service which included restoration work at a cost of £2, 500. A further £400 was spent on 26. 08. 22. The MOT is valid until 13. 10. 23
