Description
what a rare car this is! the gtm libra, from my understanding there are only circa 150 to have ever existed from 1998 to 2009. this vehicle is one of the last ones built by the factory (build number 138). they were offered in kit car form for the purchaser to have built or fully built models from the gtm factory. this particular car was rebuilt in 2017 by a gtm owners club member with a 23 page build thread documenting the process and the specification.

there are probably a few bits i've missed but what a spec! the end result is circa 200bhp, circa 800kgs, incredible acceleration, handles like a house fly yet somewhat refined driving on the road. all that coupled with the rarity factor and typical japanese reliability makes this gtm the whole package.
to drive? an absolute riot! i've had a lot of fun in the gtm, as you can imagine. the driving experience is like nothing i've ever driven, never fails to put a smile on my face. the sound she makes is incredible being mid engined, even more so when the vtec engages! she starts, idles, accelerates, handles and brakes all as you would expect, and possibly better. there aren't any 'rattles' or untoward noises, she doesn't 'crash' and 'bang' over bumps, rather dosile and pleasent to drive around the local roads and an absolute animal when you're feeling more spirited around the country lanes or a track. i've owned various 'race spec' cars over the years and cheap coilovers, being too low and too hard tend to ruin the driving experience on our less than desirable roads, but this gtm handles normal roads very well.
the paintwork is very good, nothing nasty to report, the red retains its glossy shine all round and it's one shade of red. a few imperfections here and there as to be expected with a 16 year old performance vehicle but she still looks an eyeful and turns heads everywhere she goes. the bodywork is also in fine fettle, very straight and honest for her years. i have 50+ photos and a few videos i can send via whatapp to prospective purchasers. shes not new, nor would we hope you expect as such, but she more than looks the part.
it's the same story for the interior, great condition all around with minimal wear. no rips or tears to the upholstery, headlining, carpets, or trim. everything present is working as it should including the central locking and cd player. the targa roof pops out manually and secures in with 6 fasteners. the seats are in particularly good order and are rather comfortable. i have driven this gtm on a 5+ hour drive without a back ache and the gtm didn't miss a beat.
so there we are! a super 2007 rare gtm libra, one of the last to be factory built, incredible spec, honda b18 vtec engine, circa 200bhp, circa 800kgs, rwd, lsd gearbox, 23 page build thread, enthusiast owned, engine and gearbox rebuilt 5k miles ago and just look at it! such a stunning vehicle. well worth travelling to view, we certainly don't think you will be disappointed. don't miss out, there won't be another gtm like this for sale anytime soon.
