1962 Siva Raceabout · Convertible · Driven 7, 000 kilometres
Here we have a 1 off extremely unusual and rare Siva raceabout. This is 1 of 2 known and as far as I am aware the only one on the road . It was designed and built by a man named Neville Tricket famous in mini sprint who teamed up with Siva engineering to design this along with many others including a 4 seater version for Dr Who played at the time by John Pertwee. It has recently had lots of money spent to recommission it, including new wheels and tyres, all new drum brakes including master cylinder, wheel cylinders, shoes and pipes short shft empi gearstick, new oil cooler, engine upgrade & carburettor. New plugs, filters, oil leads etc. New rubber flooring. It could do with some paint to make perfect but I have other projects and I have taken this as far as I can at the present time. I have a full folder of it's restoration and it is tax and mot exempt, although it does have a current mot. It is based on a 1962 1200cc vw beetle and because the chassis and running gear has not been altered it has not been placed on a q registration and retained its historic number am in possession of all the relevant paperworkThis is a chance to own part of history and probably the only chance to own one.
