Description
Reluctantly selling my Princess that I’ve owned for 5 years due to needing to free up space. She is a good runner, starting every time and always stored in our garage. I have details / invoices of various works done to the car by the previous owner and by myself that I can share details of (including fuel pump, frame mounts).
The interior roof headliner was replaced a few years ago and has an excellent appearance. Paintwork is in good condition (re sprayed some time ago) - called ‘Sherwood Green’. I will also include a spare dashboard and workshop manuals that I got when I bought the car. All dials on the dashboard are in good working order (aside the clock).
The Princess was highly regarded at the time with its unique hydrolastic comfortable suspension, full leather Connolly seats, walnut wood trim around the doors and dashboard, plus the ubiquitous Series A engine. Includes optional extras at the time, being the internal heater and front seat belts.
Also features two wing mirrors and rear view mirror. Internal lights between the front seats and above the rear passenger doors are working. The back of the front seats have the pull-down drinks table (also featured when you open the front glove box). Centre arm rests are featured in between both the front and rear seats.
The car has taken part in classic rally’s and shows over the years and always draws lots of attention and admirers!
Includes a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate of authentication giving details of the vehicle when manufactured (see photo). With not many Vanden Plas Princess’s still on the road - only 4 licensed 1964 Princess 1100’s still exist according to the DVLA database - this is becoming a rare sight on the roads and at classic car shows. There are only around 50 in total across the years they were manufactured.
