1930 Motobecane Type E, 250cc 2 Stroke Single Cylinder Machine. UK registered as a historic vehicle with V5 in my name. I stripped and rebuilt this lovely old machine a few years ago, repainted the tank, frame, wheels and mudguards, and fitted new tyres and tubes. The seat has been re-covered since these photos were taken. Head bearings were replaced and fork spring and saddle springs re-manufactured. The tank has been repainted with new transfers and a lacquer finish in a way that provides a fine patina, the inside was professionally cleaned and is to a high standard. Clutch has been refurbished, Magneto was rewound and rebuilt by Armoto, a renowned rewind company in the North of England and carburettor replaced with a reconditioned Villiers unit. The engine was inspected at the same time and had been re-conditioned prior to my ownership. It has a 3 speed hand change gearbox. I have been using it for short runs and local events. Please consider that the machine is almost 100 years old and whilst it is road going, it has a hand change gear lever, brakes not to modern standards and needs to be ridden carefully. It is incumbent on the buyer to decide if they plan to use it on the road. It comes with an owners manual which of course is written in French. Please feel free to get in touch for more information.
