A very rare opportunity to acquire a close replica of the 1953 DKW-IFA 125 cc East German racing machine.
It is in excellent condition as shown by the photographs.
Please note that the bike does not run and is only for display. It is a great entry for static display at Classic Motorcycle events.
The location of this machine is Cherbourg, Normandy, France. The price is 4500 euros. Only 6 replicas of this beautiful motorcycle exist in the world.
These original early IFA racing machines were designed and built by Daniel Zimmermann. This type of rotary disc valve racer won the 1953 and 1954 East German 125cc Championship in the hands of Bernhard Petruschke.
Walter Kaaden used these machines as the basis for the later MZ racing machines.
