This is a kit car produced by the renowned Richard Oakes and is based on 2CV running gear with a bespoke chassis and body. It was built to a very high standard by my Dad who was a mechanical engineer and properly registered as new in 2000. Prior to putting the car on the road, my father refurbished everything , including rebuilding the engine(later and higher power 602cc with twin choke carb) and gearbox, which are still in very good condition. The bodywork and chassis are also in excellent condition; there are just a few stone chips here and there but you have to go looking for them. Comes with detachable steering wheel, panier mounts, luggage rack. So it is set-up for longer trips; my parent went around Europe in it. It easily passed the MOT with no advisories and I have the build documentation and manuals. The speedo is from a donor 2cv and reads 99, 000, however, I estimate the car has done less than 20, 000 miles since the build (look at the MOT history on the GOV website: 89k in 2005 and now reads just over 99k in 2023, and I know the first 5 years the car did very little miles per year).
