SLK meaning , sportilch (sporty) , leicht (light) and Kurtz ( compact) launched in 1996 with the amazing ‘vario’ roof allowing the metal roof to be activated and taking only 25 seconds to go from roadster to convertible was a game changer , giving this small roadster so much more practicality.
I’ve had the pleasure of having this car for the last 6 years after a chance conversion with a neighbour from my village resulted in the purchase .
It wasn’t perfect at the time , suffering from the usual problems associated with this model , but I could see that it was a well cared for solid example.
Over the course of the last 6 years I’ve addressed the rust issues to the front wings ( common fault) having it cut out and new metal fabricated, this was one on the first tasks to be tackled and is still showing no signs of returning along with the flaking paint on the rear wheel arch lips , the leaking cabin and boot was also addressed which is another common problem.
The car comes with its original wallet and 2 keys and I believe it has mbfsh up to 45k

Spent so much more than the asking price as I wasn’t planning on selling, but I’ve only covered 3k miles in the last 6 years and feel that the car needs to go to another enthusiast to be used and enjoyed
