For sale is a beautiful rare Shamal from my Maserati collection in that has recently undergone a full detailing and mechanical inspection and is in perfect running condition. The Shamal is a rare car - one of the only 369 total cars produced. Designed by Marcello Gandini a creator of Lamborghini Countach – with its trademark rising cut rear fender used on both Lambo and Maserati.
The car had 2 konown previous owners and had a full mechanical overhaul in 2020 with engine heads off for inspection, valves and valve springs replaced, head gasket (original heads) and all rubber seals all OEM parts. All timing belts and water/ AC pumps, starter motor/ alternator rewinds. New HT leads and plugs.
Brakes and tyres are good. All original interior having full leather treatment by expert coachbuilders all oil/ fuel filter replaced and full oil service in 2023.
Documented spend of over €20, 000 and not spared a penny in works done.

The undercarriage is rock solid, free of rust and all original. Black leather seats are all in great condition, interior has been refreshed. Factory original air-conditioning system plus the adaptive suspension, with variable damping rates for each wheel. The car has been serviced with a change of the Timing Belt in 2021 and made 600 kilometers since.
Meant as an all-out performance GT, the Shamal inaugurated the new generation of V8s. Boasts 4 DOH camshafts 4-valve-heads and the usual twin-turbo, twin intercooler set-up, good for a staggering 326 bhp and 436 Nm of torque from 3. 2 liter. Clad in 245-wide Michelin MXX (225 at the front) with a wider track, the car has redesigned rear suspensions and an electronic adaptive damping system all around. The top claimed speed was 270 kph (169 mph) on the later versions. The Getrag 6-speed manual gearbox was the first one mounted in a production Maserati, and indeed an advanced feature for the time. The car has an interesting globetrotter history as it was originally shipped to Japan, when the first owner bought it and ordered for Dubai (video from that period on youtube). Than it was sold to UK to second owner and finally shipped back to Europe when purchased by me.
THIS CAR IS EU REGISTED AND LOCATED IN POLAND. Car is in fully running and good for a European drive. However if needed I can assist with the transport.
