For sale is my military 1972 KMZ K750. Later models were called Dnepr, but still made by the KMZ factory in Ukraine (the very similar IMZ, or Ural, was made in Russia concentrating on the civilian market) . This bike is in excellent condition having had the engine rebuilt, new stainless rims and spokes, new tyres, K65 carbs, complete rewire, new ignition system, new brakes including a twin leading shoe front brake, rebuilt front forks, shot blasted and repainted, new exhaust system. Starts really easily and stops just as well. No struggling with the hernia inducing centre stand as it now has a side stand. Period accessories include leg guards and military headlight black out. For better safety I put some indicators on it and connected the front brake to the brake light. I also put some panniers on it as I liked the look.
Really terrible brakes, awful carbs, seized forks, battered rusty tin work, dodgy electrics and worn out engines are all to often the norm for these bikes, as they have usually led a very hard life - we only get them over here after they have ceased to be useful over there! All these problems I have fixed, so if you're looking for one of these, this will be one of the best.
