Description
Pembleton Brooklands – Car No : 071
A rare opportunity to purchase a Pembleton Brooklands, one of two special factory built cars commissioned by The Pembleton Motor Company for the show circuit at that time, reliving the era of open top motoring and the evolution of motor car design. See letter of authentication.
Built in 2003, this two-seater, front-wheel drive car has eye catching polished aluminium bodywork. The twin SS exhaust pipes have a throaty exhaust note from the 1000 cc BMW R100 air cooled engine which provides a responsive drive from this vehicle that weighs only 450kg. Coupled with the low ride height- which accentuates the speed, it certainly makes for exciting driving and instantly puts a grin on your face.
The stylish looks and matching Brooklands aeroscreens take this 4 wheel model back to the era of 1930’s motor racing and gets considerable attention wherever you go. According to the latest register this car is one of only 17 Brooklands on the road worldwide including two in USA and one in France and one of only four running with the BMW engine. Each Brooklands model has it’s own individuality.
The car has a service history with receipts for all work on the car. It has been MOT’d every year and has a current years’ MOT till July 2024 The car has a tubular steel chassis with an aluminium body which is unpainted and easily maintained. The spare wheel mounted on the tail, the chrome wire wheels with ‘knock on centre nuts’ and the chrome oval mirrors add a vintage touch plus the the copper ‘nose’ makes this stunning car a total head turner.
The interior is finished with a wine coloured leather bench seat with matching interior panelling and hand-made matching coloured leather bonnet straps. The dials and clocks add a vintage touch as does the classic Moto-Lita Steering wheel. The seat folds forward to reveal a good size storage space for all your touring needs and picnic accessories.
The 1000cc BMW engine is in great condition with lots of power for this nimble little two seater. The mileage on the car is a mere 3, 450 miles. Parts are readily available for this model and the car is cheap to maintain. See photos.
