1925 Lorraine Dietrich project.. not for the faint hearted ! l am reluctantly offering this for sale.. l just don't have enough years left to do all my projects.. an orchard find in 2004 it is now completely stripped down...
lt has a lovely radiator looking very similar to a 3 litre Bentley . . the chassis needs repair and reconstruction. no bodywork. l have some useful photos and chassis drawings. lt has good axles, brake drums, steering box, engine, gearbox, radiator shell with stoneguard.
l'd love to see it made into a vintage racer. you never see them on track . lt would be much rarer than a Bentley and a fraction of the price to build..
the first photo is from 1951, second as found.
then photos of the parts after strip down.
the engine was known as the 'Silken Six'. the first owner was General Lushington of Hampshire. he later became Major General .
