A very rare MK1 DAF 44 with all the Michelotti design cues that where lost on later models. Has some history including original registration book and some 1970s MOTs. It spent most of its life parked in a garage having only covered 1000 miles since 1978 (currently on 39500)! Mechanically the car seems to be fine but could do with a tune as has a bit of a flat spot. It has brand new drive belts and I've rebuilt the brakes. its also had a new diaphragm and a service. The centrifugal clutch engages well. The interior is very good with the original plastic cover on the back seat.
It has had a poor respray at some point which lets it down up close but there is very little rust. Drivers side door gap is poor. It could do with a new exhaust but it has a new cross damper. There is some history with it including the original log book and some MOTs from the 1970s.
I've thoroughly rust proofed the underside and cavities. Tyres are very good.
