Here we have for sale a rare 1999 Mercedes SLK 230 AMG Pack... this car was ordered specially when new with all the AMG upgrades. Amg front and rear bumpers, Amg side skirts, AMG wheels and AMG twin outlet sports exhaust. Engine is standard 190 hp Supercharged. Interior is finished in red and black leather with carbon trims. Low mileage example with 76, 000 miles only. Low ownership. This car was extremely expensive when new compared to other convertibles and especially with the AMG pack which i am let to believe cost in excess of £5000. Bodywork of the car is excellent. Wheel arches are all rust free and never had any work to them.... Bumper on front has been painted which is to be expected for age but overall the bodywork surpasses most other SLK's of same age. We have had the roof section painted in gloss black which i think breaks up the colour and makes it look a bit different... There are no dents or creases in the panel work. It sits on a very nice set of genuine AMG wheels with good tyres....
Car has roll hoops and a wind guard ..... Roof works correctly and folds away neatly. We are very familiar with these vehicles and have sold many...
There are no dash warning lights and the instruments function correctly. It is a well sorted SLK which will give the next owner plenty of fun in the sun.... but with the benefit of a hard top in the winter.
Extremely rare car in UK nowadays as i dont think many were purchased new due to cost. I certainly havent seen another. There are a few for sale in EU and most are in excess of 8000 euros with higher mileage....
Interior of this car is very good... seats are all excellent with no damage to leather, carpets are all very nice with no wear to heel pad. Door cards are all good.
All in all for its age the interior is above what you would expect for a 24 year old car....
The value of MK1 SLK's with low miles are increasing in value especially ones that have been looked after.... and are starting to get into Classic territory. Deemed to be better to drive than the later 171 model by owners that have owned both.
Handling on these cars is great and with rear wheel drive gives a great feel.
Engine is good and pulls well with the super charger. Gearbox is also very good and performs as it should.... These engines are very durable and are capable of high mileages so this one has plenty of life left in it.
Parts supply is plentiful and there are a few dedicated FB sites for SLK owners which is a great site.... we are members and have been for a few years.... handy for tips on looking after your SLK.
This car will hold its value if looked after and will only go up in value in the future....
Car has current V5 , dealer pack, limited history but some past bills present.... Mot history verifies correct mileage...
