Nova kit car, professionally built costing
over £25k.
Mot and road tax exempt, registered as historic vehicle and correctly registered as a Nova.
(It would pass an Mot and gives peace of mind. The car was MoT'd a year ago).
Starts runs revs freely, sounds amazing with its quad cam Suburu engine
but then dies.
I'm an old school guy that can tinker with carburettors etc, but don't know about the ECU, Mafs and sensors these engines have so I haven't looked into it.

The previous owner did 1000 miles after the build - it had an mot and was used daily.
This amazing car was built over the years by a professional restoration company for its owner who spent 10s of thousands of pounds having a ground up rebuild.
The company owner told me it was the fastest car he had been in, due to the quad cam 2. 5 engine in such a lightweight body.

The car has a Heritage VW chassis, restored with the usual lowered floorpans for headroom, immaculate so no rust anywhere. Red 9 front suspension, all restored, Spax shocks etc.
The car is now of course water cooled and so they developed the system for it with an aluminium rad up front with 2 cooling fans, alloy pipes and silicon hoses run it to the engine at the back. There are custom billet supports front and back too.
The roof is electronic remote control from a fob, so you could walk out of a petrol station press the fob from a distance and have the roof open for when you get back to the car. Its a special quiet pump more developed than the original Novas pump, and sounds amazingly smooth.
There is a manual switch inside.
When I bought the car it had no interior, just some old mx5 seats, (the build only went as far as building to mot standard not interior trimming or paint), so I have soundproofed and insulated the floor and fitted carpets.
The seats were chosen carefully for their fitment, the rake is adjustable and they are on runners too. They are brand new, fitted yesterday. I have also trimmed the dash and sidewalls etc. The console is custom made in aluminium. All the gauges work, lights, indicators, horn etc.
Wheels are staggered revolutions in gold with the correct Revolution caps as new.
Matching Falken tyres all around with as new tread.
Bronze tint lexan side windows, one fitted the other in progress- Ive left it off to make it easier to work on. New windscreen (£1200).
I have fitted all the external trim and seals with new.
Engine is the quad cam 2. 5 Suburu rebuilt completely with all photos. Custom sump for clearance, custom manifolds in stainless mated to a stainless Porsche exhaust. As I said it fires up immediately, you can freely rev it but then it cuts out so this needs looking at before the car drives.
Pedals all fabricated and working, brakes work, clutch works and the car rolls easily for loading.
Paint is shiny and polished with some marks and spider cracks but no osmosis anywhere. It is 50 year old fibreglass and painted black so please bear this in mind but it all presents well overall.
The only Nova for sale in the Uk at the time of writing, and one of the most developed around. Car is available at my house for viewing by appointment. I can arrange delivery and assist with loading.
There are masses of paperwork, photos, receipts, build pics, info and manuals including a full set of Suburu manuals and a Nova book etc.
