Description
1958 Morini Turismo 175, I have owned it for a couple of years, in that time I have completed one Three Moors June Jaunt, a 350 mile tour over three days around Dartmore, Bodmin moor and Exmoor as well as lots of riding around where I live in Herefordshire.
I am selling it because I have developed a bad back it is one of two bikes I own that really makes it ache. It goes amazingly well for its 175cc and tiny horsepower.
In my ownership I have replaced the complete con-rod big end little end assembly and the known weak sliding cam retaining block in the gearbox (with a CNC. Alloy item). As well as fit new brake shoes, drive chain and engine sprocket.
It is presently fitted with non original handle bars in an effort to help my back, I have the originals with the levers fitted. The whole bike has been completely stripped, the front forks re-sealed and rear damper units stripped to be made to work correctly.
Everything works perfectly, the electrics are good. The only outstanding issue is a replacement speedo drive on the front wheel, I have fitted a small electronic speedo for the meantime and keep it legal. The original speedo is fitted which works perfectly well.
It is UK road registered and the V5c is in my name, registered as Historic Vehicle.
