This Sachs Roadster 800 is 1 of less than 1000 ever produced and only 19 left on the road in the UK.
It's a handmade German bike with a Suzuki 805cc V-twin liquid cooled engine, mated to a 5 speed shaft drive and forks that are shared with Ducati Monster. The Frame is designed by Egli (of Egli-Vincent fame) and the styling is by TargetDesign (of Suzuki Katana fame).
It comes with full original luggage system (panniers and top box) in colour coded blue. I have 2 full sets of fairing, seats, front mudguard and fuel tank, so you can take your pick from current look or revert to original.
I've owned this since 2012 and has been very well looked after and recommissioned 2 years ago after being parked for a few years.
I spent a few years collecting and upgrading the components, but always able to return this rare bike to stock if needed. Going from front to back, the fettling includes;
-Heidenau K73 tyres (approx 80% life remaining)

The most common question I get about the Sachs Roadster 800 is "What is it?". Short answer is its a Suzuki Intruder based handmade German Roadster from the early noughties. A rare sight, less than 1000 were reported to have been made and more than half of those are in Germany.
Longer answer is that it's an Egli frame bike (of Egli-Vincent fame) styled by TargetDesign (of Suzuki Katana fame), which was the last attempt at a big bike from Sachs, who were traditionally an engine supplier.
The front end was shared with some 90s ducati monster models, the wire wheels/ rims from KTMs supplier Behr and a number of other suppliers to Guzzi and Aprilia were involved. The engine is tuned from the shaft drive VS800 to 58hp from an 805cc liquid cooled 8 valve v-twin, with a modified exhaust and strengthened swingarm.
It rides well, with crisp throttle response, being both stable and tips into corners well. It isn't the smoothest, lightest or fastest I've ridden, but that's not what it's about. A brochure of the day had the phrase "extravagant understatement", which I think sums it up well. It is really a cruiser for ex-sportsbike riders and vice versa. It reminded me of Vincent in many ways, so this customised version is a little homage.
