Skoda Octavia vRS Track Day car, (Golf MK4 under the skin but far better!)
Only 81, 000 genuine miles with 2 previous owners. These MK1's are now rare and will become a future classic.
I have the full original seating in great condition so this could go back to road spec and make a very quick, great Q car!
I bought this car at the beginning of covid. It was in great condition and an excellent base to start. I didn't want a Golf, (so common) but fancied the reliability of a VAG car.
I spent some time over the first winter upgrading and modding the car to how I wanted it. Everything was checked and upgraded as necessary. All wheel bearings, track rod ends etc renewed as a matter of course. The following was carried out.
Cupra R Front subframe
?. ? Cast alloy wishbones

Changed power steering fluid
New wheel bearings all round with new rear hubs
New flexible brake hoses all round
New track rod ends
New rear brake dust guards
Strip and clean calipers
Fit new F2000 Tarox front discs
Fit new discs to rear
Fit new stretch bolts to front subframe
Change brake fluid for high temperature fluid
Front mount intercooler
AP coil overs and suspension fitted.
New pair of tailgate struts
Set of Wolfrace Pro Light track wheels and Toyo R888 tyres,
Black Silicon turbo hoses fitted
Renewed spark plugs
Fitted engine compartment strut brace in between suspension top mounts to stiffen body
Re-rooted intake to lower frontal area and fitted over size K&N filter
R32 23mm front ARB
Whiteline 25mm rear ARB
Front Tow strap
Rebuilt 5 speed gearbox with a Wavetrac LSD
Heavy duty clutch
Quick shift gear change mechanism
Whiteline replacement solid alloy and bronze bushing kit to gear change cables and mounting plate
New radiator
Renew top and bottom radiator hoses
Fitted DS 2500 disc pads to front
Ditto to rear, (current set has only had 1 outing)
Fitted bespoke harness, bar and brace.
Stripped out seating.
Fitted pair of lightweight, Elise seats.
Fitted four point harnesses
Baffled sump fitted
Magnetic wired sump plug
Catch tank
3" stainless exhaust
Sports cat fitted

Stage 2 remap running a healthy 244 BHP and 310 ft lb of torque.
I am sure many of you diehards have seen this on track...
I have done approx 30 track days in this car over the last 3 years and it hasn't missed a beat. It is surprisingly quick and handles beautifully. The car is very neutral on track and feels extremely safe at speed. switch of the traction/ stability and the LSD will pull the car around the corners without the usual FWD wheel spin. In the wet, leave the traction switched in for extra control!
Oil and filter changed after every 4-5 track days.
If car is sold at the correct price, I will include the full interior and a set of standard wheels with a new set of Rainsports fitted which have only seen one wet half day on track.
Please, no Ebay messers. This is a proper car with a years clean MOT, (no advisories). I am a retired guy and this has been my retirement toy.
Selling as have just bought a Boxster to use on track and there is only so much time! Will be more then sad to see it go.
