1971 German import VW / Porsche 914 Restomod / Outlaw. Sympathetic and i hope tasteful example of a custom 914.
In 1971 the 914 was a collaboration between VW and Porsche.
This 914 is an early example so badged as a VW Porsche and registered as a type 47 as per the German logbook and VIN tag. The German log book was surrendered to the DVLA when registering the car but i do have a photocopy of the original German equivalent of the V5.
I've owned this car since 2016 and have used is as a Summer daily driver. In 2020 it was repainted in Porsche Miami Blue. More pictures and videos are available upon request.
Drives, stops, turns and changes gear beautifully. Tax and MOT exempt but it has just had an MOT which expires in Oct 2024. There was one minor issue regarding one of the number plate lights but that has now been fixed.
I've just changed the engine oil, oil filter, spark plugs and transmission oil. It also has 4 new Toyo tyres.
Rear arches have been widened about 1. 5 inches to accommodate larger wheels at the rear.

Current mileage is 15, 200 but this is obviously not the correct mileage so is not warranted. When i first got the car the odometer read about 2000 miles. Over the last 6 years i have done about 13000 miles in it.

Bumpers and side skirts have been powder coated in chrome effect powder coat.
LED Headlights, indicators, side lights and fog lights.
New windscreen
No rust or rot. The infamous hell hole is solid. Doors shut fine and roof fits perfectly.
ULEZ compliant
Heaters have been disconnected. Cold start injector was stuck open when i got the car so it has been bypassed. This has never been a problem so i did not source a replacement.
Great little runner that gets loads of attention everywhere it goes. Only selling as i've been offered a 912 that needs a fair bit of work.
