Skoda Octavia VRS 1. 8T
156k. MOT until June. 2 keys. Unmolested example
I bought the car as I had an identical one in my early 20s and wanted to relive it a bit, unfortunately I'm now in my early 30s with a young family and finances are tight so the Skoda has to go.
Prior to my ownership it was in the same family from new and they spared no expense on it. The car comes with a folder full of history and paperwork, including the original bill of sale!
The bodywork is generally very tidy, no dents or big scratches, there is the odd mark here and there but it scrubs up very well. The roof however is a bit of state, it has a fair amount of lacquer peel and scratches. The car is currently on Audi A1 wheels. The original wheels are included in the sale, they have 4 matching falken tyres but they need a refurb.
The interior has survived the last 19 years rather well and is still quite bright by VRS standards! The drivers bolster has split but the sponge is still intact. The car comes fitted with its original mats, the parcel shelf is uncut and cargo net is still present.
The engine and gearbox perform well and the clutch has a nice bite point. The mechanicals are completely standard.
Recent work includes oil service and pick up pipe cleaned, front discs and pads aswell as a new caliper on the passenger side, the wiper linkage has been replaced and its just had a new fuse box fitted.
Points to note.
The passenger rear door needs to be locked and unlocked manually, it opens and the rear window works fine so I suspect there's a break in the door loom.
Paint on the roof requires attention
Bolster on drivers seat is split
Since having the fuse box changed the headunit has gone into safe mode, I will try to find the code before sale
To sum up its a tidy little car with buckets of history. Its capable and practical, ill be sad to see it go but needs must.
