Chance to own a totally sorted out 1976 Triumph T140V with matching frame and engine numbers. This is no barn find, basket case or bike with ride around issues. It is a genuine UK registered bike and not an import. No known faults. OIL TIGHT. As of this moment :-). Starts 1st kick 90% of the time. Never more than 2 kicks no matter how long it's been left. All work is recent (last 14 months) receipts to support. Please read further for full details.

Electrics:
Complete new wiring loom. Not a connector block, Scotch lock or any insulating tape in sight. Boyer Electronic Ignition, solid state regulator/ rectifier fitted. 2 new 6v coils (works better than 12v with the Boyer), new ignition switch (as they can go intermittent) and brand new Exide Gel battery.

Both front and rear wheel bearings have been replaced together with the steering head bearings. Swingarm bushes greased. Dunlop TT100 tyres are in very good condition and have plenty on them. Nothing is perished as most rubber items have been replaced including oil lines. Oil pump has been inspected and is in very good condition. Oil pressure good and oil strainer replaced.

Suspension:
New front fork springs, fork seals, fork oil and billet aluminium fork axle clamps. The original's are known to crack. New Girling rear shock absorbers with the correct spring rating. The Chinese copies are undersprung and under damped, you get precisely what you pay for. Great if you want to travel down the road like a kangaroo.

Brake's:
New seals fitted to front calliper. Double H (HH) pads fitted recently front and back. Front upper and lower brake hoses are new. Uprated/ upgraded front master cylinder fitted. Brake fluid changed front and rear.

Carburation:
Brand New Amal Premier carburettor's fitted and set up properly. The choke which most remove if it becomes problematic is present and working as it should, but is not really necessary until temperature nears 0°. All cables are new.

Mirrors are fitted, although never came with them from the factory. The bike was serviced recently, Air filters, plugs, Valve clearances etc. All fluids have been replaced. Engine oil, gearbox oil, fork oil and brake fluid. All are Castrol.

It has the expensive but quieter and maintenance free belt primary drive fitted.

It has had a new/ correct basketweave seat cover fitted. The tank has been resprayed to a high standard 8 months ago. It is a period Triumph T120 Purple. This colour actually looks two different shades depending on whether the weather is overcast or sunny.

Included in this sale are all the spares I have, some new some not. Hayne's manual (softback) Triumph workshop and parts books as PDF files. Also Oxford bike cover and security chain.

Also included are a BRAND NEW pair of peashooter exhaust silencers (20 - 30 mins. to swap) which sound particularly....... er....... FRUITY!

This bike generates a lot of attention and compliments, justifiably I think. Tastefully and sensibly modified. On the outside looks standard, but underneath brought up to date.
