The previous owner bought it in March 2006 @ 17, 748 miles for £5, 999

In the 14 years he had it he kept all the MOTS and had it serviced at Proton Trinity Motors in West Midlands. When this closed he had all the work carried out at a Jaguar specialist. Way too much to list but a few of the things to note...

Cambelt & Water Pump June 2013
Front brake pads March 2014
Power Steering Rack March 2019
Rear Brake Caliper & Brake pads March 2019

I bought this in October 2020 and have only covered around 1, 000 in that time.

Here are some of the things I have done in my ownership...

New Spark Plugs October 2020
New Exhaust (standard/ genuine mid section) fitted in December 2020
New Cambelt and Fuel Filter fitted in May 2022
Front End resprayed Feb 2023 - had planned on doing all the car but ran out of time before the photo shoot.
New Battery fitted March 2023
Front Cover of Classic Cars Magazine August 2023 - I'm told it is the first Proton to be on the cover of a Classic Car Magazine in the UK - copy of the magazine will be included in the sale.
New Fuel Pump, Leads, Map Sensor & Crank Sensor fitted October 2023

When I started it up after it being in storage the engine management light came on and the car had a misfire. The engine management light was on and said 'crank sensor' fault, so this was replaced along with the Map Sensor. The problem was eventually solved with a new set of leads. The car now drives fine (occasionally stutters at low revs) but otherwise pulls through the high revs in all gears. In writing this advert I have noted that it had a similar problem in 2014 and 2016 and new spark plugs/ leads with a fuel additive worked.

The car is in very good condition given that it is 20 years old. Whist the front end is immaculate the rest of the car has the usual scrapes of a car this age. I have two other cars so this very rarely gets used, hence why I have decided to sell it. Front Cover of Classic Cars Magazine August 2023 - I'm told it is the first Proton to be on the cover of a Classic Car Magazine in the UK - copy of the magazine will be included in the sale.
