The car came with a folder of documentation, servicing information & receipts from the previous 20-odd years of its life. This car comes with a full service history with all history upto around 2017 being a main dealer, followed by independents since then.
Through a review of the documentation which came with the car, it is clear that throughout its entire life it has been extermerly well looked after, with quite literally no expense spared. I must say this has been carried through into my ownership. Since purchasing the car in March 2023, I have carried out the following tasks:
Renew of majority of coolant pipes to & from radiator - found to be cracking due to heat cycles, age, etc.
Interim service, oil filter, spark plugs, air filter
New radiator as original radiator had a crack at outlet
Brake fluid replaced
4 new tyres - as of writing this with around 4-5mm tread all round
New shocks & springs installed to front & rear, including top mounts at the front
Removed polly-bushed anti roll bar mounts and replaced for OEM rubber ones in lieu.
New clutch installed - semi compound / organic clutch installed, which is slightly heavier, but makes car more enjoyable.
Brand new disc and pads to the front - 340* mm disc to front
The car during my previous ownership had some rust areas put right which is shown in one of the photos. I also have the receipt for this work and I can confirm that there is no rust to the jacking points present. There is also generally speaking, no rust present to the body of the vehicle, except a tiny rust spec next to the BMW badge on the bonnet - you will struggle to notice it.
The engine runs perfectly & no issues or error lights are present.
Cruise control works
Braking system works perfectly - everything else steering & handling related does too
ABS and all traction systems work as intended
Manual(!) gearbox works perfectly with new clutch
Sunroof works perfectly
Aftermarket radio works perfectly
Heated seats work
All electrical items work
Paintwork is exceptional
... in other words, there isn't anything which I've not found working on the car

The car was MOT'd earlier this year and has around 9-10 months left. No advisories were found. I bought this vehicle in March 2023 with an intention of carrying out a fairly un-holy exercise of turbo'ing the vehicle. The original intention was to buy one of the better E39's for sale in march 2023, so that I was starting from a solid foundation. Little did I realise once I purchased it, and following no end of conversations with BMW enthusiasts that this example is too prestige. My decision to do this has changed and in doing so I am now struggling for space to store the car.
I can comfortably say that this is one of the finest examples of a BMW E39 on the market, especially for its mileage.
Taking into account the sheer number of extras that this vehicle has, along with over 100 pages of history / documentation with the car & with noting that this car is a manual 530i, I am sure that the next owner of this vehicle will be a very happy E39 owner!
