This stunning Chesil Speedster was SVA/ IVA tested and correctly registered as a Chesil on 01/ 11/ 2008
It has one registered keeper and has covered 3xx miles. 120 of these by myself, whilst with me in storage.
It’s an extremely well built car, using high quality parts and interior materials. The fit and finish throughout is superb. It drives extremely well, it’s light on it’s toes with precise steering and strong brakes.
It is finished in unmarked bright metallic silver, with a beautifully finished blue leather & wilton carpet interior. The roof is black mohair and the wheels are 15” 914 style painted in gloss black with machined highlights.
Fitted with body coloured front & rear bumpers with clear front indicators and classic rear lamps. The mirrors are chromed and can be moved out of their driving position to be tucked away when parked. All of the chrome work is in excellent condition bar some small pitting on the rear lamps.
It is powered by a robust, simple, cheap to maintain and well proven 1285cc air cooled VW engine mated to a 4 speed gearbox. It’s not fast, but it is such a huge amount of fun to be in and can be enjoyed safely by people of all ages. We’ve had 4 in the past as we could insure anyone in the family, they can be left at a holiday home without worrying about reliability and the running costs are so low.
The interior has a leathered dash top, full door cards that are fluted to match the seats with built in lower pockets and a rear bench seat with back rest, with matching gearstick and handbrake covers. The rest is fully carpeted with blue wilton throughout.
The seats are high back units sat on runners with headrests and adjustable backs and seat belts are 3 point inertia.
It has a wood rimmed Moto-Lita steering wheel, leathered gearstick & handbrake gaitors and aluminium switch gear on the dash. The dials have been updated with modern LED backlit units that look original but are accurate and easy to read.
It has full size glass side windows, which meet the roof nicely with chrome winders to match the door pull and door handles.
