Description
My lovely '99 Viggen Convertible is up for sale, following a documented spend of almost £2300 in the past year, all the work professionally carried out at SAAB MK, including the Bulk Head strengthening, now the car is totally 100% solid and importantly, rust free.
A rare survivor of 0nly 50 Lightning Blue Convertible 9-3 Viggen's imported into the UK in 1999.
An absolute fortune has been spent to get this Viggen to its current condition. Everything replaced was bought brand new from SAAB, most if not all parts came directly from Sweden, right down to nuts, bolts and fastener's.
5 Viggen Alloys, all straightened and beautifully refurbished.
Every single car park ding removed by Excel Dents transformed the car.
I believe it to be the original Mohair roof, which being critical, is somewhat showing its age, tired and faded.... but no tears.... just a little fraying around the rear window. I've been quoted £1500 for a new roof by SAAB MK.
Prior to my ownership, this car came with a massive folder of receipts totalling almost £12000, a lot of it at Abbot Racing from 2014/ 2017, including an ABBOT Racing Rescue Kit/ Strut Brace.
Remapped by Peter @ RAWSAAB to Stg3 circa 295bhp, however the original ECU comes with the car to revert back to 235. Full Abbot Racing Stainless Steel exhaust system together with a Stainless 3" Downpipe also by RAWSAAB.
4 brand new KUHMO tyres fitted. A spare Viggen Alloy wheel is included.
All wheel centre caps are brand new genuine SAAB, as are the Boot and Bonnet badges
Current MOT with NO advisories.
Interior is very good, only some very minimal seat wear, but no rips or tears
Is this car in Concours condition ? No it is not, the car is 25 yrs old, but it is in very good condition for a 25 year survivor.
Fantastic strong smooth engine.
Private plate MII VGN is not included in the sale, but it can be included on negotiation.
Any questions, please ask.
Car is in Milton Keynes, Bucks. Current mileage 149, 818 at MOT 2024.
