This MGB is in good condition. All things run as they should and it drives tightly and very well (it's actually why I bought it in 2017). Like the previous two owners I have kept up the MOT as good practice. I do not believe this car has ever been refurbished and it is in amazing condition with the original paintwork. It is very hard therefore to put a value on it as I think these types of untouched MG are quite rare, some might say it is a great car that could be made concors with its history and a full refurb, others would say the existing stunning condition with originality is of more value. I personally like the fact it is so original, I can sit in the same seat that came out of the factory and touch the same dash, even the tourney comes with its original cloth pouch. There are some imperfections, chips and minor surface defects that you would expect, but none are anything more than surface nor do they take away from the cars beauty . I do wish perhaps the wing mirrors had not been added by the first owner but i guess they did not plan for it to become a classic. Also you will see on one of the MOT's that there was an advisory or the rear wheel arches years ago, a repair was done and the paint match is very slightly out, it is only visible in certain low light, this is the only work to be done to the body ever.
The car has had a full service every year around this time. In other work, I have last year replaced all brakes and front discs, replaced the oil temp gauge (it had stopped working) and had the carbs re tuned, all done by and MGB specialist. In the last 5 years (4000 miles) I have also replaced the water pump and some general upkeep such as hose replacements etc.
The car comes with every receipt from new in 1973, including the bill of sale and all MOT's and tax discs

Having looked at a number of MGB's this car stood out for me because of how it drives, also after meeting the owner I could see how well he looked after it and cared for it. The guy I bought it off was only the second owner and he had it for over 40 years. Including me there have only been three owners, all who live within 15 miles of each other and less than 10 miles from the original dealership. Initially I was not sure on the colour but after seeing it in person I loved it.
The car comes with every receipt, MOT, tax disc and even the original brochure with the dealers stamp.
As I have said above, it is really quite hard to put a value on this car, just because of the history and the lack of refurb. I had people tell me the car is worth north of £15k, others may say less.
I need to sell the car because due to family , work and other commitments I am not using it enough, this car needs to be driven and I am genuinely worried I will let it decline through lack of use. I had it up for sale two years ago at a much higher price as I only half heartedly wanted to sell, I have no priced it to sell quickly and fairly. Whoever buys this, if they know what they are looking at and love MG's they will be very very pleased.
