Great running car!
'Celebrity' vehicle - has been featured in many car magazines during 1960s
The current keeper acquired the car over 17 years ago and has cherished it ever since.
It has been fully restored during its life and featured in 'Classic Cars' and mentioned in the book 'Mighty Minis' by Chris Harvey.
The exterior coachwork is the classic colour scheme of 'coffee and cream' and is complimented by the red leather interior trim. The paint work is in fair condition with a few areas needing cosmetic attention. The chrome work is above average with the front bumpers having been re-chromed. The original 10" road wheels are fitted with Falken radial tyres with original Riley hub caps.
At the time of the earlier restoration the engine was changed to one from an Austin 1300 (1275cc) and performs well. Maniflow exhaust is fitted mated to a single SU carburettor.
The gearbox selects all gears easily and with a smooth progressive clutch action. The hydrolastic suspension units have been serviced and replaced in the recent past and the car travels well.
The original aged red leather upholstery has been maintained well over the years and compliments the walnut veneer dash.
Also fitted is a Webasto type folding roof and a radio with a CD facility with speakers hidden below the rear seats shelf.
Sympathetically maintained, body work and interior in good condition, and with the original seats in good condition, this car does everything it should mechanically.
A very appealing, smart, correct and sound example in just the right condition to use and enjoy.
