previous owner owned since 1995 and have come to the conclusion he will never ride it again. It sat in the house for years and then in the garage. he rode it every now and then over the time he owned it. he had it properly overhauled in 2013 and recommissioned and MOTd in 2015 (Yamaha Service Centre in West London) and then I've just turned the engine over regularly.
he bought the bike from the Yamaha Service Centre in West London after they made it stunning, replacing any parts with original Yamaha parts where necessary and having as a display in their showroom. It's probably one of the best original 47X UK examples around. All the panels and paintwork are original, it's got the tail cover, original plates, original keys (x2), stone guard, tool kit (those bits that often go missing) and an original paddock stand. The photos' are from when it was recommissioned, but it hasn't changed since then, although there is a small crack in one of the lower fairings around a fixing. I've got loads of paperwork including the original receipt from the Yamaha Service Centre, a manual, even an old mircofiche parts manual (but no reader).
A rare machine UK supplied, Yamaha RD500LC. First registered on 30-12-1985 with matching frame-engine numbers. Mature owned and kept in heated garage, part of a collection. All standard machine. All bodywork, exhaust silencers, screen, original single pod, bellypan grill. Starts, runs and rides really nice. Comes with 2 keys, toolkit and manual.
