Great usable car for the summer! Roof down motoring, over 50 MPG fuel economy! Good sound system.
It’s a 2. 0 Diesel N47 producing 175bhp which has had the benefit of a replacement timing chain just over 5k miles or so ago last year. It was changed a precautionary measure due to age and mileage and the fact that every N47 can suffer with premature timing chain failure. Receipts as proof. A few other jobs were done including the crank pulley and this totalled around £1300 in parts and labour for the job.
It’s finished in sparkling graphite grey metallic paint with black leather interior and finished off with an aluminium interior trim. Brake callipers finished in a nice bmw light blue behind the 18 inch multi spoke M sport alloy wheels.
Drives great no knocks or bangs, picks up well being a turbo diesel.
Interior is in very nice condition, minimal wear to seats, no rips or tears. Leather is a very nice black with no fading.
Everything works as it should, convertible top, heated seats, radio, CD player, 12V charging sockets, cruise control, exterior lighting pack (door handle lights), xenon headlights and washer jets functioning, air con, digital climate control, mobile phone connectivity for calls, plus many more!
Good spec being an M sport
Recently had pollen filter, air filter, 2 foam door membranes as they were a bit worse for wear, door lock actuator, coolant temp sensor, new correct coolant, drop links pair and a few other bits I’ve missed. Will be getting a full service in the coming weeks just waiting until I’m off to book it into garage.
Bad points:
General wear and tear/ car park dings as expected for age and mileage, car is now 16 years old.
Fading on bonnet clear coat - drivers side, not a big issue just worth mentioning - see pics
