1929 Austin 12

Reluctantly, due to ill health I have decided to sell my Austin.
The Mulliner bodied 2 seater outsold the equivalent Austin 2 seater for a period because it was perceived to have a more attractive shape.
The car was completely restored 10 years ago to a very high standard. Please don’t confuse this car with the many average Heavy 12s out there.
The restoration took over 5 years and entailed the body being taken off and much of the ash wood being replaced. It was professionally re sprayed going back to its original colour, upholstery, and carpets etc. New wings were made as original along with an engine, gearbox, and rear axle rebuild. It also received a new radiator, complete nickel plating and hood and side screens to the original specification. It is fitted with a coil conversion for reliability, but comes with its magneto. The underside still appears as when it was restored, like new. Consequently the car present’s extremely well, is utterly reliable and has been used on numerous long journeys. It has won numerous cups/ trophies at both National and local shows.
The car retains its original Surrey registration number and I understand that I am the third owner.
If it is your wish to purchase an open top vintage Austin I believe you will struggle to find a better one
