ZX-7R in very good original condition. The only changes from standard are the smoked screen, rear hugger, braided brake pipes, stainless exhaust headers, stainless bolts and tail tidy.
It has recently had a full carburettor rebuild with ethanol proof seals, float valves, diaphragms. All jets/ needles have been replaced with genuine Kawasaki originals and the fuel tap has been refurbished with ethanol proof seals.
Front calipers were swapped for factory reconditioned ones with top quality seals (not cheap alternatives) last year, so the six pot brakes are fantastic. Wherever possible, I use original Kawasaki parts for servicing - air filter, brake pads, oil filter etc. Oil and filter has just been changed.
Chain and sprockets are as new.
Fitted new super sticky Metzler Racetec tyres front and back at great expense!
Just been MOT’d so expires 15May 2025
I have owned this bike since 2013 and have done very few miles on it unfortunately, so it is time to find a new home. I have MOT certificates going back to before I purchased it, the original hand book, tool kit, two keys.
As said, condition is original and very good. There are a few marks on the fairings, but nothing serious and some marks on th tank where a tank bag has been and the magnets left a few prints. Small crack on rear cowl below the tail light.
This is an amazingly quick bike for its time and clearly displays its superbike heritage. No doubt these will be increasingly collectible in the future. The road holding and feedback from the front wheel is exceptional - you may as well be holding the front wheel around corners. I bought it as I have always loved the appearance of these machines - they never seem to age!
