Description

1995 Jaguar XJR6 (X306):

322 BHP / 512 NM ft of torque / Top Speed 250 km/ h (limited) / 0-100 km/ h in 5. 7 seconds.

Aquamarine Blue & Oatmeal Tan Sports, Leather & fine wooden trim - were the launch colour of the XJR6’s with the XJR eye-catching magnesium wheels.

Car has been maintained to a very high standard and has been in the same ownership for the last 12 years. Currently the 4th owner.

Bought car at Executive Cars Sandton, Johannesburg in 2012. Had car thoroughly tested & inspected (AA Roadworthy Inspector) before buying.

During this time it has been very well looked after and serviced regularly. Some of the bigger "preventative maintenance” jobs / item repairs have been done which rarely would be the case if advertised.

Exterior paint in good (8/ 10) condition.

Alloy wheels in good - great condition with relatively new tyres (85% plus thread remaining).

Interior still in very good condition (8. 5/ 10) , slight wear out, otherwise as good as new.

Mechanically very sound. Starts and drives without any faults, works well in both S and N.

The online Jaguar Forums probably covered all / most issues that could arise and even one of the Engineers Any Stodard are still active on these platforms (have all sorts of mods and or mapping of ECU’s for these XJR models).

Reluctantly selling due to storage restrictions .., Very rare car .., some experts believe it was this six cylinder that revitalised Britain's Big Cat!

The 4. 0L fuel injected 24 valve motor has been Supercharged to give it 322 bhp giving it more power than the old V12’s - and while the power is impressive, what you should also take note of is its configuration, it was the final evolution and offering of Jaguar’s famous inline -six. This configuration has a very long history that goes way back.

AJ16 Inline 6 4L Engine which are ultra reliable and one of Jaguars best engines .., Ford Motor Co injected lots of resources & technology when they took over and the XJR’s are one of the first collaborations wanting to built the best luxury sedan.

Jeremy Clarkson loved it so much he had two of them and rated this car as the best in the World at the time .., even Hannibal Lector owned one in the books - and that just about says it all!

Fitted with the first Jaguar Superchargers (Eaton M90) accompanied with a sportier suspension and more aggressive look ..,

The innovative XJR leaves a lasting legacy that has been watered down with each new generation; if you want Oliver Reed in a dinner jacket, don’t settle for any other hell-raiser.

GM4L80E Automatic Gear box which are normally bullet proof and very strong used mostly in pick up trucks, commercial trucks & vans. Rolls Royce, Aston Martin, Bentley & Hummer also made use of them. Parts are still readily available and fairly priced.

The 1994-1997 XJR’s wasn't plagued by the Nikasil issues that the later 1998 - 2001 XJR’s / BMW's had thus these later 2nd hand models could be had for less money and have depreciated more.

These cars are becoming super rare to find and mostly the V8 that will frequently flood the Auto Market pages which are not as good as the straight six .., catch one while you can and you will have one of the best and most beautiful cars ever made. It is one of the ultimate modern classics to own and are steadily increasing in value each year ..,
