I have really enjoyed driving my Sunbeam Talbot since buying it over 11 years ago. Together we have been to France 4 times including a trip to the Pyrenees for the Grand Prix de Pau (as spectators of course!). We have also tackled the mountain passes of our own Lake District as well as many tours of Exmoor organised by Minehead Motor Club. In addition we have taken 7 happy brides to their wedding. On all occasions my car was much admired.
It runs well, having had a restored clutch about 4 years ago. The bodywork is good with a few slight blemishes and the rear bumper and both rear hubcaps have small rust patches. The hood looks very good from the outside but there are occasional stains on the inside. Most of the time it has been used with the hood down and the windows open.
With a combined age of 153 years it is time for one of us to go - and I’m not quite ready yet!
