This is an opportunity that doesn’t come along very often.
This is a 1950 model, 4 owners from new. 1st for 55 years.
This exceptional Land Rover has never had a full restoration and nor does it need it. This is an opportunity that doesn’t come along very often.

Having covered 69500 miles from new, the historic file is fantastic with its original receipt, and then a stack of receipts over its history. This includes a ledger that must be unique with entries from 575 miles all the way through the 55 years of the 1st ownership.
This Land Rover was made on 16th June 1950 and supplied to Bedford’s Garages Ltd Exeter, there is a nice dealer’s plaque on the bulkhead.
The 1st owner had written letters to the Rover company and in turn Bedford’s of Exeter, these are all in the extensive file.
This UK car has survived remarkably well, but obviously has had a sheltered well serviced life, it has its original 1600cc engine that had a rebuild at 38000 miles, receipt on file, and that was on the original receipt back in 1950. The history file also has the original Rover warranty (unfortunately its run out!) The vehicle carries it original registration number, to complete which must be one on the best matching numbers UK cars about.
Being made in June 1950, this is a lights through the grill model, probably the most pretty 80” made, but also a lot more user friendly to the earlier lights behind the grill.
Fitted with the correct style T28s to finish off the period look of the car, I can speak personally that this has been a pleasure to work on, and I would imagine an honour to own such a lovely car with a nearly unique history!
Comes with current MOT, and ready to drive away.
Viewing by appointment only near Bicester.
