Cherished, ‘unicorn’ 130i with EVERY factory optional extra, fascinating backstory and fitted with the famous Birds B1 suspension package specifically tailored for the 130i which completely transforms them.
Factory options include high beam assist, Harmon Kardon sound system with USB connection, later professional navigation system, 20GB HDD music storage and subwoofer, later CIC screen and car infotainment system, electric tilt/ slide sunroof, keyless start & entry (comfort access), folding mirrors, turn illumination xenons (adaptive) with direction (Osram halos & white angel eyes), heated/ electric seats with electric lumbar, ski hatch, rare space grey metallic paint, CD changer and optional 264 wheels.
History: 55, 000 miles with full BMW main dealer history. She was a test car for BMW and for the first 18 months resided in Munich (preproduction codes on VIN) used for testing - complete with email. It then came back to the BMW Park Lane showroom in London and was registered new from there in 2010. In 2018 at 42, 000 miles it was fitted with the Birds B1 suspension kit and the car was described “like new”. Previous owner had the car from 2014.
Condition: The car was ceramic coated last year in preparation for our wedding car with 3 years protection (video on request of application). Exterior is immaculate as is the interior. Jason Baker, a specialist seller commented “during the last 20 years I have sold nearly 1200 specialist BMW's but no other E87 1 series to your car's spec…. low mileage, high spec, desirable colour combo fitted with the outstanding Birds B1 suspension upgrade is what we call in the business a 'unicorn’”
Modifications: carbon fibre rear bumper insert (still have original), Birds B1 suspension (rides at the same height as the standard setup).
Sadly the only negative is she’s Category N due to a low speed junction accident in 2022. I couldn’t bear to see it go therefore I had it repaired professionally by a reputable bodyshop (after visiting 10 before choosing one). All panels and paints are BMW genuine parts and the result is superb (bonnet, wings, bumper, lights). The only plus to this terrible day was that it meant no rusty front wings which they all suffer from (any BMW of this era due to the arch liners collecting mud). Again pictures can be shown of the repair process with pictures taken throughout the repair.
I really don’t want to part with the car and if I had the space I’d certainly be storing her. As you can see from the mileage history she’s been used sparingly and I only ever take her out in dry conditions (not used over the winter).
