I am selling my beautiful Mercedes 280 SL R107 cabriolet. The Mercedes SL R107 embodies the excellence of classic automobiles, combining sportiness and comfort in a timeless design. The car is in excellent condition, it has always been well maintained and parked in a garage, the engine starts directly and works perfectly, as do the brakes, the idle holds well, the 5 gears shift very well, the clutch system has been changed.
It has been completely restored by mechanics who are passionate about their ancestors, the rocker panels, the bodywork, a new paint job, and many parts have been replaced, such as the shock absorbers, the battery, a wooden steering wheel (the old one is here too), the cables, the leather and fabric upholstery of the seats, sun visors, central pocket, radio, tyres, etc.
Invoices for more than €20, 000 worth of work are available. It is sold with a hard top in very good condition, the soft top is not new, but in good condition. It has a few minor defects, such as the missing trim for the front seat mechanism... Under the bonnet, you will find an in-line six-cylinder engine, renowned for its reliability and sobriety. This engine is highly sought-after for its balance between performance and fuel economy. The odometer reads 35, 1000 but that's for 2 engines! The engine was replaced by a new one at 167, 000 km (with invoice).
