Description
This former rubber-bumper, 1979 MGB 1798cc roadster now has the chrome-bumper conversion kit added and has been lowered too, making it handle like the original ‘B’ once did.
Genuine low 43000 miles with some history and MOT certificates to verify mileage. Comes with handbook and classic car heritage certificate.

—Mountney sports steering wheel.

—Electronic ignition has been fitted for ‘first-time-always’ starting.
Condition/ Work done:
—The gearbox selects all gears without fuss and the electronic switch overdrive functions too.
—Interior has been repaired or replaced which include panels and switches (some were cracked or broken and in a poor state).
—Added and upgraded to new LED instrument back lighting and repaired lume connections to the electrics.
—Also checked over for all working lights including the now working reverse lights, replaced broken connectors and reinstalled the boot light switch system.
—Replaced broken cables to bonnet as well as the heater valve cable.
—Replaced broken damaged door speakers.
—Changed coolant, spark plugs, oil filter, engine oil, gearbox and rear axle differential oils.
—Retuned SU HIF twin carbs.
—The car had over £4000 spent on mechanical and body repairs (Including the chrome-bumper conversion) prior to my ownership, ensuring that the car was solid and would give trouble free driving for years to come.
—Roof is in general good condition and comes with the tonneau cover and accompanying support bars.
—Added a battery ‘kill’ switch for convenience.
—Machine buffed and polished bodywork - though it has had panel resprays in places, in the past (prior to my ownership).
—Wheels and tyres all good but if I were keeping the car, I would refurbish the rostyle wheels (which would be my next task).
The MGB is registered as ‘historic vehicle status’ with DVLA and therefore Tax and MOT exempt (ULEZ exempt) and was health checked when I purchased it (private sale) in Feb 2023.
Time to move it on now as I need room for my next fun project restoration.
Please note this is not a concourse showroom car but it’s in great condition and is certainly fun to drive and could easily be used as a daily driver - perfect for the Summer!
