Description
Built approx 8 yrs ago by a father and son from a new body shell and lightweight glass fibre panels for the purpose of competing in Sprints and Hillclimbs (Road registered class) but I understand never competed by them.
I believe the mileage shown will be that since the rebuild, not the total mileage.
Campaigned by a subsequent owner, a known regular of Harewood for several years before my ownership. I have enjoyed competing at club events around the country over the last 3 yrs. Registered in 1966 (with original Buff Log Book) provides tax and MOT exemption.
Brief list of modifications include:-
1293cc engine refreshed in 2022 using MED rear crank oil seal modification. 2024 the head (Longman/ Downton casting) was removed for a check over ready for the 2024 season. All work undertaken by Rally of Withnell. High Torque starter, Isolation switch, Aldon electronic distributor, Weber Carburettor.
MED 7. 5” Light Flywheel and Clutch 2022. 4 Speed straight cut close ratio gearbox built by KN Transmissions using new kit from MED 2022.
LSD built with 4. 2:1 differential by KN Transmissions 2023.
Peter May halfshafts.
High flow alloy radiator. Electric fan.
Maniflow complete exhaust.
New front uprights including Kingpins and bushes. Spax adjustable dampers front and rear 2022.
Panhard rod and Anti-Tramp bars.
Competition seats. Drivers harness in date (end 2026)
Competition Roll Bar.
Revolution 13” alloy wheels (new 2022) fitted with Avon CR6 ZZ tyres.
General.
Paintwork has some small chips and marks expected after 8yrs. Underside and internal sections treated with rust prevention wax.
Hood, frame and hood cover in good order.
Internal carpets and heater retained as I enjoy the occasional road trip.
White number panels are stickers and can be removed.
