Capots Vintage, a specialist in prestige and classic vehicles in Lyon, is offering for sale the most powerful classic Morgan ever: a 3. 7L V6 Roadster. Weighing in at just 950kg, it offers an excellent power-to-weight ratio, while retaining the comfort and charm you can't do without. Under the bonnet is Ford's 286bhp 3. 7-litre V6 engine, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. First registered in April 2015, our example is presented in its metallic grey hue with a burgundy leather interior. On the outside, a host of options have been chosen for the configuration: stainless steel exhaust, chrome front and rear bumpers, long spans, round rear-view mirrors, chrome grille with honeycomb grille, badge holder, spoked wheels, spare wheel, double-decker luggage rack and third brake light.
Inside, there's an attractive varnished burr-walnut dashboard to match the three-spoke Moto-Lita steering wheel. The centre of the dashboard is made of butchered aluminium, as is the left-hand side where you'll find a START button. The leather is trimmed all the way up to the combiner cover, as well as on the lock covers and door storage pockets. There are also a number of stainless steel elements, including the indicator switches, the door hinges with retainers and the crossbar covers. On the passenger side, an aluminium footrest and boot have been added, as have a central armrest and a burgundy leather storage compartment.
It comes complete with soft top, tonneau cover and sidescreens, and a burgundy mohair storage pocket.
