The Appeal
The post-war optimism of the 1950s led to some of the most outlandish automotive designs of the twentieth century, most of which originated across the Atlantic in the United States.
Echoing the American fashion of prominent tail fins, wrap-around windows and lashings of chrome, the Vauxhall Cresta PA looked like it had come from Los Angeles instead of Luton. Its powerful straight-six engine resulted in a near-90 mph top speed in 2, 262 cc form, and the Cresta PA became a popular model - especially amongst so-called ‘teddy boys’.
Here we have an early ‘three-window’ example which has been refinished in a striking shade of pink. It’s been voluntarily MOT tested, in spite of its exemption so the next owner can be confident that it’s in good, safe order. Complete with a wealth of accompanying paperwork and superbly presented in readiness for sale, this Vauxhall is ready to enjoy.
